Keep your Mac awake, for you and your AI coding agents
Keep Awake stops your Mac from going to sleep, with no settings to dig through and no commands to remember. Click the coffee cup in your menu bar, choose what you want, and you're done.
Decide whether the screen stays on or is free to turn off while your Mac keeps working. It's perfect for long downloads, backups, builds, renders, or presentations. Then pick how long: leave it on until you stop it, choose a preset from 15 minutes to 5 hours, set your own custom time, or have it switch off automatically when a chosen app quits.
Your AI coding agents can keep your Mac awake too. When an agent like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex starts a long task, it can hold off sleep until the work is done, then let your Mac rest again. Open Settings, pick your tool, and copy the one line it shows to connect. You stay in control the whole time: the menu shows which agents are keeping the Mac awake and lets you release any of them, and an agent that forgets to let go is released automatically after a few hours. Your own on and off always comes first.
It lives quietly in the menu bar, with no Dock clutter and no window in your way. The cup fills in when it's active and shows the time remaining at a glance, so you'll never leave it running by accident. Assign a keyboard shortcut to flip it on and off from anywhere, and turn on Open at Login to have it ready every time you start your Mac.
Lightweight and native to macOS, it remembers your preferences, keeps itself up to date, and never gets "stuck." The moment you turn it off, your Mac sleeps normally again.
